Directing traffic into and out of parking facilities, providing customer service and assistance, and maintaining observation over all parking facilities is a function of the position.Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for parking enforcement activities, which include assurance that all University, City and County parking rules, regulations, policies and procedures are followed. Violations are to be responded to with written citations.Patrol parking lots and structures to verify parking assignments and compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Violations are to be responded to with written citations.Perform tasks related to answering telephones, data entry and retrieval tasks, and dispatching information to appropriate parties. The responsibility will provide information about citations issued, enforcement rules, parking status of users, inquiries for directions/transportation/and motorist assistance. This also includes license plate data lookups and relaying other information from department staff and management. All incoming calls and other relevant information dispatched must be documented.Document patrol activities which are suspicious in nature, or pose a threat to safety. Situations which pose danger should be reported to the designated supervisor immediately.Maintain records of citations written on abandoned vehicles and all other incidents which were handled by the incumbent during the shift.As directed, assist with traffic control.As designated, be responsible for parking enforcement radio equipment and other equipment necessary to perform enforcement activities.Provide various customer service activities by providing parking customers with direction and escort service to and from vehicles.As directed, assist with meter collections and various collections of fees.Responsible for notifying the appropriate manager of significant or recurring problems in parking.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.Possession of a valid and current State of Illinois driver's license.No record of conviction of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude.To Apply:
