Research Associate II, LC-MS Bioanalysis – Marlborough, MAAbout the OpportunityMeadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Research Associate II to work within the Discovery Bioanalytical Team at our Marlborough, MA location to perform LC-MS/MS assays in a fast-paced team environment. Given that we are a newly launched Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded by an experienced team of industry veterans, this ground floor position offers unique opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute meaningfully to the creation and development of our services, expand their knowledge base by participation in multidisciplinary teams, and advance their career in capabilities and responsibilities.Key Roles and Responsibilities:With guidance from senior scientific staff, the successful candidate will:Execute routine lab procedures for the extraction of small molecule therapeutics from complex biological matricesDevelop fundamental skills for operation of LC-MS systems for quantitative analysisPerform basic instrument maintenance and troubleshootingUtilize analytical software to process data and evaluate resultsPrepare and review data summaries for submission to clientsParticipate in efforts to improve processes and streamline proceduresProactively communicate analytical results and study status with Principal InvestigatorCollaborate with colleagues at all levels within and across departmentsPerform all other related duties as assignedMinimum Education and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or another related scientific field with a minimum of 1 year directly related industry experience. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered as substitution for the specific criteria outlined above.Skills:Highly organized and detail-oriented while working under tight timelinesAdapts readily, willingly, and effectively to changes in assignments and prioritiesAble to multitask and independently manage time to maximize productivityExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsCompetent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Personal Attributes:In addition to the attributes described above, the ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, open-minded, self-aware, flexible, data-driven and objective in its evaluation, persistent and optimistic in the face of challenges and uncertainty, and willing to make decisions and take ownership for assigned responsibilities.Compensation:Hourly rate for this position starts at $27.40 per hour or approximately $57,000 per year. The specific salary for this position may vary and will be based upon factors including, but not limited to the individual’s experience, education, and skills.
