Please visit the Human Resources Benefits site ( https://www.une.edu/hr/benefits ) for additional information regarding UNE’s fantastic benefits package.Responsibilities:Serve as primary point of contact for clinical simulation curriculum stakeholders (e.g., COM students and faculty; standardized patients; assistant clinical deans at clerkship sites; clinical campus administration, faculty, and staff; COM administration and staff; other university administrative and academic units; and non-university/non-clinical campus constituents).Recruit standardized patients (SPs) to build a cadre of SPs that represent the diversity of patients a typical student will see in clinical training.Assist with training and scheduling individuals to function as standardized patients and respond to SP questions/concerns regarding schedules, cases, relevant policies and procedures.With guidance from the standardized patient clinical faculty educator and course directors, coordinate and administer the clinical simulation curriculum to students in years 1-4.Maintain accurate, current records of numbers and demographics of SPs for the Clinical Performance Center (CPC) purposes/functions.Provide on-site preparation/assistance to SPs during CPC operational sessions.Aid in SP evaluation and quality assurance for standardized patient activities and the creation, utilization of, and evaluation of training resources, manuals, policies, and performance statistics for the CPC.Provide accurate records of hours worked to departmental fiscal representatives to ensure prompt payment to SPs.In collaboration with the CPC’s IT Simulation Specialist, assist students/clients in using electronic monitoring/recording equipment.Operate AV/IT system as needed, ensuring examinations are recorded and indexed properly.From an administrative standpoint, ensure UNE COM clinical simulation curriculum and assessments meet national guidelines, including NBOME standards for Core Competency Capstone.Collaborate with the departments of Academic Affairs & Clinical Education, standardized patients, and course directors to coordinate the development, design, production, assembly, posting (on Learning Management System [LMS] or other curricular sites), and distribution of clinical clerkship curricular materials.Supervise and coordinate LMS design and content for clinical curriculum delivery.Ensure each standardized patient’s compliance with pre-requisites, as well as any training and certification renewals.Confer regularly with the course director and associate deans, other college administrators, faculty and staff, and clinical campus administrators to plan and coordinate activities, exchange information, and resolve problems related to COM curriculum and students.Commit to actively fostering a welcoming culture of inclusion and diversity.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline, plus two years of business or office administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.Excellent administrative and support skills.Ability to work as a productive and collaborative team member.Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals, both inside and outside the University.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Basic working knowledge of learning management systems, Brightspace preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skills.EEO Statement:Consistent with federal and state law and University policy, the University of New England is committed to the fundamental concept of equal opportunity for all members of the University community.
