Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Environmental Scientist I, we'll count on you to provide water quality support for Alaska development projects. Specific responsibilities will include:Supporting and conducting environmental data collection and validation for a variety of market sectors including but not limited to industrial, water/wastewater, and power using approved methodologies.Performing data analysis, technical writing, and coordinating workload and deadlines with project managers and technical staff.Updating and maintaining large data sets for various projects and efficiently pulling data and manipulating it for analysis.Candidates must demonstrate commitment to exemplary quality standards for professional practice and deliverables. Candidates must be able to work cooperatively with professionals from other disciplines, clients, project managers, business development professionals, and operational leadership. This is a full-time position based in Anchorage, Alaska.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree or certificationLocal hire preference2-5 years of experience in water sample analysisRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or closely related fieldKnowledge of wetland delineation, field investigation techniques, and agency coordination requirementsExcellent writing and communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
