SY2024-2025 rate $15,754.73SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the supervision of the PrincipalGENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide each enrolled student an opportunity to participate in extracurricular athletic activities that will foster physical skills, a sense of worth and competence, a knowledge and understanding of the pleasures of the sport, and the principles of fair play.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists in organizing and administering specific aspects of the overall program.Creates team rosters and shares with coaches and Principal.Prepares budget requests for Principal approval.Collaborates with the Principal to ensure that all home games and scrimmages are supervised and organized.Provides supervision of buildings, parking lots, and game sites before, during, and after games and scrimmages.Ensures that all buildings are secured or coordinated with maintenance staff.Assumes general responsibility for the proper supervision of home games, including attending to medical concerns.Arranges ticket sales and receipts.Works with the Principal and school nurse to verify each participant’s physical and academic eligibility to participate in interscholastic sports and that they have met requirements set forth in the school Concussion Policy.Oversees the cleaning, repair, and storage of uniforms and equipment after each season.Schedules transportation to athletic games, scrimmages, and home after practices. Handles all scheduling, re-scheduling, and canceling of buses.Organizes and manages the Interscholastic Athletic Program as part of the total School Program.Prepares schedules and submits the appropriate field trip and facility requests for practices, games, scrimmages, and student dismissal arrangements.Contacts all parties regarding particulars involved with cancellation or postponement.Ensures parents are contacted concerning required documentation, schedules, and general information about each sport.Strictly enforces all MIAA regulations.Reports major infractions of accepted school rules and policies by any student participant during any aspect of the athletic programs in writing to the Dean of Students and Principal within 24 hours. Final disciplinary action rests with the Dean of Students and/or the Principal.Informs the Principal of any athletic injuries sustained that require removal by ambulance, EMT/medical personnel examination, or hospitalization immediately.Other duties as may be assigned by the Principal.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5 years High School athletic involvement as head coach or assistant.Extensive knowledge of MIAA rules and regulations.First Aid and CPR certified or willing to be trained.Licensed as a MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Supervisor-Director (preferred).GENERAL INFORMATION POLICY:Finalists are subject to a Criminal Offender Record Information Check (CORI) and Fingerprint Based Record Check in accordance with and as required by Massachusetts State law, which is satisfactory to NCAHS.
