The Doubletree by Hilton Washington DC North is hiring a Banquet Manager. Lead the Banquet team in serving guests during banquet functions to ensure a positive guest experience. Apply today to join our busy hotel!Responsibilities:
Plan opening/closing assignmentsEnsure that all public areas are neat and cleanCoordinate with banquet staff set-ups, changes, and time schedules for all functions as a banquet server; setting up, greeting, and serving the guests and breaking down the functionInspect banquet areas at the end of the function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are cleanKnow the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation method for each item to be servedPerform any other job-related duties as assignedQualifications:
Banquet Supervisor/Manager experience is required preferably in a hotel or resortSuperior communication skills to provide information and associated services to hotel management and guestsAbility to transport up to 30lbs through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shiftAbility to work effectively under time constraints and deadlinesProven team playerMust have availability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidaysCompensation:
$20 per hour plus gratuities
