The LSUHSC Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent) Family Medicine physician for an academic faculty appointment with the Family Medicine Residency Program in Kenner, LA, a bedroom community to cosmopolitan New Orleans. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (non-tenure, clinical track) and will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The ideal candidate will have previous academic experience with obstetric skills, though not required.

Primary responsibilities will center on the education and development of 18 family medicine residents and medical students in various contexts, including traditional outpatient practice, inpatient care, nursing home, and school-based clinics. Opportunities in arenas such as sports medicine, hospice, and other department-contracted services may also be available. The department seeks a dynamic faculty leader who will further develop and expand the care of women and children from within the program.Minimum Qualifications:Required Education:
