Looking to be part of a growing successful child care center? As an aftercare teacher at a leading and thriving child care center in the Tysons area, you will be part of a growing business while making a difference in the lives of children. Availability between 12:00 - 7:00 pm.
We are looking for someone who:
Team player with a positive attitude.
Enjoys working with people.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with children, families, and staff, and build positive relationships. ( Preference given if you also speak either Spanish, French, or Mandarin. )
Meticulously organized and able to manage filing systems.
Supervise children attending the program and promote safety and respect among all participants.
Is an A player - driven to be the best, challenges yourself by setting goals, crushing it, and helping your teammates do the same.
Is solution-oriented - sees obstacles as opportunities, naturally takes initiative, isn't afraid to provide new ideas, and offer bold solutions.
What you'll do:
Follow school policy, county, and state rules.
Pick up and drop off children from FCPS schools.
Event coordination and management.
Coordinate onsite enrichment classes.
Greet and receive students and visitors.
Monitor children to ensure their health, safety, and physical well-being.
Participate in regular staff meetings and assist with in-service training as needed.
Important Factors:
Exceptional written and oral skills.
A people person; you must care deeply for others.
Outgoing and positive demeanor.
Professional presentation.
Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility.
A clean driving record & valid driver’s license.
A professional appearance.
Exceptional organizational skills: love for attention to detail.
