Privacy CounselOverview:Location: Hybrid - Bay Area (3+ days/week, flexible)Position Type: Full Time, 6-month contract (LOA coverage)Role Overview:We are seeking a Sr. Privacy Counsel for a six-month contractor position. As part of LinkedIn's Legal & Public Policy Team, you will support our global privacy compliance efforts. You will collaborate with legal professionals and paraprofessionals who bring diverse backgrounds and skills to the team, maintaining high standards in legal services.Key Responsibilities:Review and negotiate privacy terms within commercial agreements in alignment with company standards.Collaborate with LinkedIn’s legal and cross-functional teams to uphold privacy compliance and corporate policies.Work closely with other attorneys and paraprofessionals to optimize business support and educate business teams on contractual, regulatory, and compliance issues.Basic Qualifications:You must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and 6+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. A minimum of 4 years advising on privacy regulatory compliance is required.Preferred Qualifications:A solid understanding of general commercial contracting and data processing agreements is preferred, along with familiarity with EU data protection law and other privacy regimes. You should have experience with privacy documentation, including DPIAs and LIAs. Strong interpersonal skills, impeccable integrity, sound judgment, and an ability to see the big picture are also highly desired.Suggested Skills:Privacy LawCommunicationCompensation:$102.28 – $131.03/hr.
