Vassar College invites applications for the position of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position offers broad-based experience in strength & conditioning at a Division III institution. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Performance, this individual will assist in implementing strength and conditioning programs for 25 varsity sports and four varsity club teams.Responsibilities:Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for assigned sports.Collaborate with the sports medicine staff to develop and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.Teach proper technique and provide supervision and motivation.Conduct testing to assess student-athlete performance and improvement.Assist with the development and utilization of an online methodology for tracking student-athlete activities.Maintain and upkeep equipment within the varsity weight room.Collaborate with head coaches to create comprehensive off-season conditioning programs.Assist with social media and webpage maintenance for Vassar College strength & conditioning.Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices and guidelines.Qualifications:Required:Current NSCA, CSCS or CSCCA, SCCC certification.Knowledge and compliance with NCAA and league rules and regulations.Certification in CPR, AED and First Aid is necessary but can be obtained through Vassar College.A valid driver's license and successful background check.Preferred:Master's degree in exercise science or related field and two or more years of relevant experience.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Special Instructions to Applicants:
