Senior Director of Emergency Services
will help to move toward our vision of thriving survivors in safe communities.
The Center for Women and Families
provides free services to people of all identities who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We help our clients and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of trauma by reducing their risk factors and building their resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana.
The
Senior Director of Emergency Services
provides leadership, oversight, and program development to the overall domestic violence and sexual assault programs at The Center for Women and Families (CWF). They ensure a trauma-informed approach to client services and to employees, modeling excellence and holding program leadership accountable to standards and norms for trauma resiliency. The Senior Director exemplifies the values of The Center in cultural humility, trauma resiliency, integrity, compassion, being human-centered, adaptable, and transparent.

Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and lead delivery of programs and services in accordance with CWF's mission, vision, theory of change, and program goals.
Oversee programming and program directors, and work collaboratively with employees to support high performance.
Lead employees to develop and implement a continuous improvement framework to assess strengths of programs and areas for improvement and identify new program needs.
Provide support and guidance to program directors with specific programmatic, logistical, and leadership issues and opportunities.
Support the growth, development, and job satisfaction of Directors by utilizing effective management techniques which are part of maintaining a high level of morale and enthusiasm.
Engage in program management, performance improvement, and professional development through own bi-monthly 1-on-1 meetings and regular coaching with VP of Programs.
Practice data-driven decision making through the regular examination of program goals and outcomes.
Collaborate with Grants Director to assist and support the development of proposals and reports to funders. Track and ensure that grant-funded programs and projects are managed with fidelity to funders' requirements and stipulations, and within the Center's policies and procedures.
Ensure that programs/projects operate within approved budgets and timelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
5-7 years of leadership experience. Non-profit leadership preferred.
Experience in residential and trauma-related work.
Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
Demonstrated commitment to seeking diversity of perspectives and backgrounds, and commitment to advance equitable policies and practices and ensure inclusion.
Comfort in working with diverse groups of people including those who are clients, stakeholders, donors and funders, and employees.
Innate curiosity paired with the ability to collect and analyze data.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit.
Confidence in own judgement, knowledge, and skill.
Extensive project management skills with the ability to prioritize work and set clear goals for self.
Demonstrated ability to flourish, lead and inspire in a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes ambiguous setting.
Demonstrated ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions using sound and independent judgement that are timely and in the agency's best interest.
