The person in this role ensures quality laboratory services are delivered to the Department’s outside clients and hospital physician and nursing staff. The top candidate uses extensive internal and external communication to relay information and resolve problems.The person in this role will perform specialized technical/clerical duties in support of the Laboratory Medicine Client Support Services Division ensuring that patient confidentiality is always maintained throughout all processes. The technical/clerical responsibilities will include but not be limited to: filing, faxing, running reports, processing supply requests, using Sunquest the Laboratory Information System (LIS), printing requisitions and reports, mail, supplies, and other miscellaneous items for various departments and locations.ABOUT USA regional resource for clinical laboratory services required for innovative patient care, research, and educational programs, the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology combines the sophisticated testing and informatics capabilities of fully accredited laboratories with the resources of an academic institution in its delivery of clinical and anatomic pathology services.
