Eurofins is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entire network of Eurofins companies.The employee prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofin's Quality Assurance programs and SOPs.Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Edison, NJ are encouraged to apply.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:

Preparation of samples using standard techniquesPerforming chemical analysis using standard techniquesCalculating dataRecording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisorPerforming routine instrument maintenance

Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with TestAmerica’s EHS and QA standardsResponsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area.Secondary DutiesWorks under close supervision using routine and standard methodsAliquots and weighs samplesWashes glasswareTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Physical RequirementsLifting and Carrying: Lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying up to 30 pounds when moving samples and disposing of wastePushing and Pulling: Pushing and pulling up to 200 pounds when moving sample carts and gas tanksBody Positions: Approximately 60% of time standing when analyzing samples, 10% walking when moving about laboratory, and 30% sitting when working at computer, doing paper work, or analyzing samples. These percentages vary significantly depending upon duties being performed. Must be able to sit, stand, or stoop for long periods of time.Body Movements: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching when getting samples and performing analysesSmelling: For unusual odors, leakage, contaminationHearing: Conversational hearing abilityVision: Performing analyses, viewing computer screen, doing paperworkSpeaking: Conversational speaking abilityMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipCompensation range: $16-18 (DOE)Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.We support your development!
