SCD Information Technology is currently seeking a full-time Chinese-Mandarin Linguist.**Requires an
ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph**
Key Responsibilities:
The Language Analyst will transcribe Chinese-Mandarin into written Chinese-Mandarin using the traditional script.
Linguists must be able to translate written Chinese-Mandarin into written English summaries, gists, extracts, and verbatim translations while ensuring the use of grammatically and idiomatically correct American English.
Linguists must be able to transcribe audio Chinese-Mandarin into written Chinese-Mandarin using the traditional script.
Will require the ability to scan and process large amounts of material in the target language and identify critical and essential elements of information as defined by the government.
The candidate will be responsible for providing input to government counterparts by producing written reports developed from target language material.
Requirements:
Active TS/SCI Clearance and Polygraph
4 yrs full-time experience or 6 without a degree
Associate’s degree or 2 additional yrs of work experience
ILR Skill Level 3 in Audio or Graphic
4 years performing crypto language processing
2 yrs primary duty: translating, transcribing, and/or gisting
No more than 1 of 4 yrs reporting as a primary duty
2 of 4 yrs experience has to be within 4 yrs of resume submission
