Salesforce Inc. seeks Lead Researcher Research & Insights in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties:

Generate customer insights to support product teams across a variety of Salesforce products.

Define the target customers for high-priority product launches.

Partner with the GTM strategy team to evolve the tools and processes that support all early stages of business, from strategy and planning, to launch, to growth.

Provide a business operations, sales planning, and analytical lens for the products organization.

Collaborate with stakeholders (product managers, Go-to-Market Strategy team) to identify and scope research questions.

Identify gaps in current knowledge relevant to new product strategy by developing a detailed understanding of our customers and products and gathering existing data via literature reviews of internal projects/studies.

Evaluate the impact and utility of research questions to maximize the likelihood that the research results will help stakeholders make decisions.

Define the target customers who should participate in the research to ensure the results are valid and generalizable.

Evaluate the ability to reach and recruit the target customers within the timeframe available to ensure deadlines are met.

Organize and conduct user research to generate customer insights, supporting product teams across a variety of Salesforce products.

Plan research study approach to ensure that all research goals are met by determining which specific questions to answer with which research methods and prompts.

Facilitate live research sessions either one-on-one or with a group of participants to gather data.

Guide the participant(s) through a script or test protocol by giving them instructions, asking clarifying follow-up questions, and aiding if they struggle with the task or question.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Communications, Market Research, Commerce, Management, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements:

Data analysis using Excel and Google Sheets, Google Forms, and other qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis tools.

Slack.

Google Workspace Suite (Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets).

Airtable.

Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.

Salary:

$204,400.00 - $323,400.00 per annum.

the base salary hiring range for this position is $204,400 to $323,400. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
