Job Description

St. John School North End Afterschool Program is looking for enthusiastic, reliable teachers to join our vibrant Afterschool community. Our mission is to provide high quality, enriching, and supportive care for our students. At SJS’ Afterschool Program, students are offered the opportunity to explore new interests, develop social-emotional learning skills, and foster friendships across different grade levels in a community setting.This is a part time, hourly position during the school year (September-June), with an opportunity for summer work at SJS’ Summer Enrichment Program. Additional hours are potentially available as school-day substitutes, if interested. Afterschool is offered for students starting in Pre-K3 and goes up to 8th grade, and runs from 2:30-6:00 Monday-Friday, and from 11:30-3:00 on half days.Responsibilities

Organizing engaging and fun activities for students of all ages.Supervising and interacting with students in free play.Maintaining a clean and safe environment for students.Other assigned duties, under the supervision of the Afterschool Director.Qualifications

Experience working with students, especially pre-k and elementary aged students.Ability to collaborate with others and be a team player.Understanding of different students’ needs in a community setting.Position Type:
