Vendor/Buyer Manager, Amazon Fresh Grocery

The ideal candidate possesses experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills and understanding of Excel will be essential to your success. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to a successful result.

Key Job Responsibilities

Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams, vendors, partners, and management. On a day to day basis, you will:Drive strategic negotiations with large vendors and represent Amazon when meeting with senior leaders.Develop long-term strategies and significantly influence cross-category plans.Work cross-functionally, both within Amazon and the strategic vendor, and implement scalable, simple and automated solutions to address customer pain points.Create opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building for multiple sub-categories.Audit metrics regularly, determine and prioritize business opportunities, identify risks and make recommendations to pursue.Identify industry trends and develop innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives to support growth.

Minimum Requirements

3+ years of experience with Excel.5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience.Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience.Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements.Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
