Summary of Position

The Applications Scientist - Marketing is responsible for working closely with the sales and marketing organization to create prototypes that showcase Imbibe’s ingredients and delight our customers. This role will be responsible for developing flavor formulations for various food and beverage applications to support ad hoc and on-going sales and marketing programs. The ideal candidate would be comfortable both working closely internally with marketing, sales, and R&D teams to ensure that our flavor solutions meet client needs and presenting prototypes directly to our customers. This role involves hands-on experimentation, ability to translate sensory or consumer insights into physical products, and technical support throughout the product development process.

The ideal candidate would be creative and proactive in the creation of product concepts that showcase Imbibe’s capabilities to potential and existing customers.

This role will be a key driver of growth by supporting the sales team build customer relationships and position Imbibe as the preferred partner in product development and key supplier of Flavors.

Essential Job Duties

Work with the marketing and sales teams to understand customer needs and market trends, translating these into innovative beverage solutions/concepts.

Develop and optimize beverage formulations using a variety of flavors and ingredients.

Conduct sensory evaluations and stability testing of beverages to ensure quality and consistency.

Collaborate with flavorists and other food scientists to create and refine flavor profiles tailored for different beverage applications.

Prepare and present prototypes and samples to clients, providing technical support and expertise.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to innovate new flavor solutions.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of samples, prototypes, and technical documentation.

Prepare detailed reports, formulations, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in beverage formulation and application within the flavor or food industry.

Strong understanding of beverage ingredients, flavor chemistry, and formulation techniques.

Skilled at working cross functionally and in a team environment.

Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information effectively throughout and outside the organization.

Strong organizational and leadership skills, ability to work independently.

Passion for Imbibe's mission and a commitment to building a high-performing marketing team.

Strong capabilities in Microsoft applications.

Independently motivated.

Good interpersonal/teamwork skills and a sense of business/technical interrelationships.

Regularly operates a computer and other machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine computer and printer.
