, Storm Water Quality Division , is looking for an Environmental Technician II to help conduct various inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities to ensure compliance.As an Environmental Technician II, your duties and responsibilities will include:Performing moderately difficult storm water commercial and industrial compliance program inspections of various prioritized industrial and commercial properties.Performing moderately difficult City industrial facilities pollution prevention inspections in compliance with federal and state requirements.Performing any follow-up enforcement actions in support of the branch’s programs to ensure necessary corrective behaviors and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Operating a vehicle independently to perform fieldwork, attend meetings and conduct inspections; monitoring and assessments of various projects, properties and locations.May also require overtime work, including evenings, weekends and holidays; for investigations, public outreach, field sampling, and presentations to community groups.Performing other duties and responsibilities of the position.If you qualify for the position, your name will be placed on an eligible list for further consideration. An Associate's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university in

Engineering Technology or Natural Sciences

and/or a Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university in

Engineering, or in a Biological or Physical Science

will substitute for the required two years of technical field experience.Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided.
