The coordinator is also responsible for the plant’s EH & S program to include OSHA, Oldcastle, and EPA requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversight and testing of product formulationsInspection, testing, and approval of incoming raw materialsFollow all established specifications and processesInvestigate and resolve Customer quality complaintsAdminister and maintain EH & S programRoutinely inspect/observe plant equipment and activities for safe processesPrepare and submit all required reports to Oldcastle or applicable agencyKeep the plant in compliance with EH & S regulationsProvide/produce and prepare samples for sales as neededOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned as neededExperience

Experience with lab and testing procedures preferredExperience with safety programs and complianceSome experience working in a manufacturing environment preferredSome mechanical aptitude or experience with production processing equipment preferredSome experience working with EH & S programs/agenciesInterest in Horticulture or Gardening is a plusEnvironmental, Health, & Safety programs and rulesSkills and AbilitiesMust be detail-orientedMust be able to problem-solve, with a strong sense of goal attainmentMust have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to influence thinking, deal with and overcome resistance and objections, and to motivate changeRequirements / Education / Experience

High school degree required; Associates Degree preferredAbility to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructionsPhysical EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hearThe employee will be required to sit for extended periods of timeThe employee may frequently stand on their feetThe employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. from the ground level.
