From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic and labelling is accurate.The Eurofins network of companies is the global leader in food, environment, pharmaceutical and cosmetic product testing and in agroscience Contract Research Organisation services.Scientist Group Lead responsibilities are in addition to technical lab responsibilities and include, but are not limited to the following:Lead team, schedule, and train employees in client environmentEnsure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operationsEnsure coverage and performanceFoster morale and teamworkSample pick up from Manufacturing and QC labs, sample aliquoting, preparation, and delivery to storage or testing location (includes sample logging in LabWare LIMS and Oracle)Sample shipment coordination (completion of submission Forms and scheduling shipments)Sample storage management including monthly inventory cleanupProvide feedback to client on the performance of existing assays / test methodsBasic lab organization and maintenance and excellent documentation skillsThe ideal candidate would possess:Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesStrong leadership, initiative, and team-building skillsBasic Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)1-2 Years Experience in sample management, control, coordination and/or administrationExperience using a LIMS systemBasic lab organization and maintenance skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudePosition is
