The Department of Biological Sciences at Mount Holyoke College invites applicants for a tenure track position in developmental biology at the Assistant Professor level beginning fall 2025. We welcome applications from researchers with expertise in any aspect across the breadth of developmental biology, from the cell and molecular level to the level of the whole organism or ecosystem. As biology has become more technology-driven, synthetic, and interdisciplinary, we envision that our new developmental biologist could cross traditional boundaries. Appropriate fields include but are not limited to cancer, aging, reproductive technology, regenerative medicine, and evolutionary development.Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of strong teaching at the undergraduate level and experience mentoring students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, and religion. The teaching load at Mount Holyoke College is 2/2. The candidate is expected to contribute to the Introductory Biology curriculum, intermediate core courses in Cell Biology and/or Molecular Genetics, and offer advanced elective course(s) in their area of expertise. Applicants will have the opportunity to participate in one or more Five College programs such as Culture, Health and Science; BioMathematical Sciences; Coastal and Marine Sciences; or Reproductive Health, Rights, and Justice.Applications must be made online by submitting a cover letter, a CV, and statements on the following: (1) teaching philosophy, (2) research plans, and (3) mentoring a diverse student body.
