St. Kate’s is the largest private women’s college in the country and ranked #1 nationally for social mobility. The purpose of this position is to support students in their clinical experiences. The ranked faculty member will support the coordination of the clinical practicum components of the program, including student placement, clinical examinations, evaluation of clinical instruction, and assessment of student progress throughout the professional phase.

Responsibilities:Teach in areas of expertise, conduct small group and active learning sessions and participating in skills instruction, student evaluation, advising, and remediation are also expected.Support and administer the integrative and active learning model to enhance student learning and strengthen clinical practice.Student advising and assessment of performance and progression.Participate in the administration and assessment of the program including course coordination, curricular mapping, maintenance of accreditation standards and ongoing program assessment.Participate in the admission and selection processes, advising students’ quality improvement projects, and supporting administrative functions of the program.Additional expectations commensurate to the full scope of faculty responsibilities, such as scholarship and service outside of the PA program will be expected.

Minimum QualificationsMust hold

Certification and must hold or be eligible for licensure as a PA through the MN

BOMP .Have clinical experience.Applicants should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, must demonstrate an understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary for the delivery of quality, patient centered care by PAs, and should demonstrate a strong commitment to fulfill the mission of the PA program and St. Catherine University.Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in an academic setting, teaching, or the coordination of graduate-level health care students.Experience developing and delivery educational content, preferably in different active learning formats.3-5 years of clinical experience that spans a breadth of medical specialty areas.
