The Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI), University of Utah

( https://cvrti.utah.edu/the-aromolaran-lab ) is seeking a creative, energetic and motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on a newly funded project investigating the molecular mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias in the setting of metabolic disorders. We utilize heterologous and native expression systems including human in vitro models. The Aromolaran lab is supportive, encouraging and looking for a hard-working individual to join our exciting group. The environment at the CVRTI is highly interactive, collaborative, friendly and stimulating.Responsibilities

The position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in basic and translational research using state-of-the art approaches in electrophysiology, as well as other related approaches including optical imaging, microscopy, molecular biology, flow cytometry, biochemistry, DNA cloning and plasmid development.Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will be expected to hold a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with experience (within 2 years of graduating) in electrophysiology, imaging, myocyte isolation, cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, or inflammation. Expertise in electrophysiology approaches is highly preferred. The candidate will be expected to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, think critically, and work independently.Application Instructions
