The Fair Lawn Police Department is accepting applications from qualified New Jersey PTC certified candidates currently employed by a Civil Service agency for the position of Police Officer, via Inter-Governmental Transfer -OR- Alternate Route Candidates currently enrolled in a NJ Police Academy. Class I or Class II officers are NOT eligible. This announcement is for two positions.We are a municipal Police Department, currently at 61 sworn officers. We serve a community of over 35,000 residents covering 5.2 square miles.We are agile, innovative, professional and our goal is to provide quality service based upon high ethical and professional standards attained through a sincere commitment to public service. We recognize that we are the most visible and accessible of all government services and will work to maintain the quality of life in our community.Looking for a driven and experienced professional to protect and serve our citizens.
