Assistant Professor: Lighting Design and Director of Production
The Florida State University School of Dance seeks a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in lighting and visual design. Primary responsibilities include teaching in these areas, mentoring students, serving as the Director of Production, lighting productions, and serving on committees. In addition, FSU expects faculty to establish and maintain a successful creative and research agenda with a strong focus on developing a national or international reputation within the field at large.RequirementsRequired qualifications include a terminal degree in dance or theatre from an accredited institution and at least five years of professional experience in lighting design, with a strong emphasis on dance. Additional preferred qualifications include a record of successful teaching at the university level.
