Full Job Description:

Treston Security Services is seeking a highly responsible and experienced Events Supervisor to assist in providing detailed information and instructions for their secured location in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will be Professional, and capable of responding to various security situations.

Additional responsibilities for this Security Position includes:

Plan and implement crowd control strategies, including the use of barriers, signage, and trained personnel to guide attendees.

Monitor crowd density and flow to prevent overcrowding in any specific areas.

Ensure that entry and exit points are adequately staffed and can accommodate the expected number of attendees.

Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure they are informed and on standby for the event.

Develop a comprehensive security plan, including crowd management, access control, and emergency response protocols.

Ensure the deployment of adequate security personnel, including assigning roles and responsibilities for each team member.

Coordinate with internal client staff to accomplish common goals regarding provision of personal assistance and support for principals' activities.

May be asked to liaise with outside Security and Protection Teams who visit the client at their residence or outside locations.

Complete reports, including oral and written briefings.

Communicate appropriately with staff and principals.

All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers. Additional requirements of the Customer Service Officer include:

Educational Background:

Associates degree in a relevant field such as Criminal Justice, Security Management/Supervision, Event Management, or a related discipline.

Certifications in security, risk management, or emergency management, such as:

Certified Protection Professional (CPP)

Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM)

Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)

Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of security technologies, such as CCTV systems, access control systems, metal detectors, and emergency communication tools.

Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies, including identifying vulnerabilities and devising solutions.

Familiarity with emergency evacuation plans and crisis management techniques.

Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements related to event management.

Proficient in event management software and security systems monitoring tools.

Leadership & Communication

Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a security team, delegate responsibilities, and make real-time decisions under pressure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with event organizers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.

Ability to train and develop security personnel, ensuring all team members are well-prepared for the event.

Licenses (Required):

Valid California BSIS Guard Card

First-Aid / CPR Certified

Prior law enforcement and/or military experience

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Experience:

Customer Service: 2 years
