ProSidian Seeks a Health & Safety / Industrial Hygiene Specialist - Standard | Comprehensive Operational Support [DEA0030035] Engagement Team | *** Labor Category - Mid Level Exempt Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541611 located supporting The mission of the Department of Justice is to uphold the rule of law, to keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights.

Seeking Health & Safety / Industrial Hygiene Specialist - Standard candidates with relevant Defense and Security Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Defense and Security Sector Clients such as DEA. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Professional, Technical and Administrative Support Services (PTASS) (Health & Safety / Industrial Hygiene Specialist - Standard) in the Defense and Security Industry Sector focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) | Department of Justice Located In and across the CONUS Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Assist in the development and implementation of project safety plans, monitoring, and training programs.

Must have knowledge of safety practices, procedures, and regulations.

Assist with safety documentation and report support to project management and regulatory agencies.

Perform safety audits of in-progress fieldwork, making necessary changes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications For Health & Safety / Industrial Hygiene Specialist - Standard | Comprehensive Operational Support [DEA0030035] Candidates:

Competent in at least two of the following areas of specialization: basic science, biohazards, biostatistics and epidemiology, engineering controls, non-engineering controls, ergonomics, ethics and management, analytical chemistry, sampling, monitoring and instrumentation, noise and vibration, ionizing radiation, non-ionizing radiation, regulations, standards, and guidelines, thermal pressure stressors, toxicology, and general IH topics including community exposures, hazardous wastes, risk communication, indoor environmental quality, and others (unit operations, process safety, and confined spaces).

BS in science, environmental, or related field and 3-6 years’ experience.

Knowledge in safety practices and regulations, strong analytical skills in industrial hygiene, and experience in developing and implementing safety plans.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe).
