PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:

In the midst of Jewish Dallas's vibrant growth, the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas aims to take on an innovative and bold role. Our Advancement team is seeking an adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive Director of Development, Women’s Philanthropy to join our mission.In this role, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team of Federation professionals to amplify the organization's impact locally in Dallas, as well as globally in Israel and beyond. Working closely with our valued donors and partner organizations, you'll champion a shared agenda driven by the principles of collective impact.Overseeing the internationally recognized Lion of Judah giving society ($5,000 and above) the Pomegranate society ($2,000+), and Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE) program, you will build and nourish this community through exceptional experiences for philanthropic Jewish female leaders.Responsibilities will include overseeing diverse initiatives aimed at elevating our fundraising efforts. This includes cultivating household midlevel and major gift donor opportunities to strengthen our annual campaign's impact.An ideal candidate is familiar with the Jewish Federation's work and holds a deep passion for community-building through the annual campaign. None at this timeESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Philanthropy and Donor Stewardship/CultivationManage a core portfolio of Midlevel Donors with a household gift of $2,000-$11,999 including individual and planned giving.Develop a fundraising and stewardship strategy for your assigned portfolio of donors and assist in the overall campaign strategy with other directors.Cultivate donors with a frontline fundraising goal of 75 visits annually, updating donor information on an ongoing basis.Create strategies for cultivation and stewardship for Pomegranate and Lion of Judah giving societies.Identify and meet with prospective donors to increase involvement and support for the Annual Campaign.Employ a variety of fundraising techniques that include face-to-face solicitations, fundraising events, calling sessions, and written communications.Work with the CDO to identify and steward prospects for planned-giving and endowment opportunities.Support Federation’s fundraising by accurately and successfully completing assignments according to defined timelines, cooperating with co-workers and volunteers to achieve the fundraising goals.Serve as the primary professional partner to the lay leaders that comprise the Women’s Philanthropy Committee.Manage agenda items and follow up for committee meetings.Annually, identify, recruit, organize, and train lay leaders and ambassadors in furthering campaign goals as appropriate.Work with and advise Impact Team on committee recruitment.Manage solicitation process for your portfolio including recruitment and follow-up with ambassadors and team members; prospect selection; creation and maintenance of various solicitation lists and training tools; personal solicitation; and follow-up with donor issues.Programs and EventsOversee planning of Women’s Philanthropy events including leadership enlistment and management, attendee recruitment, and follow-up to ensure female donor involvement in Federation.Provide support to co-workers to facilitate fundraising activities.OtherPromote the mission of Federation at all times through superior customer service to all and through the efficient use and care of resources.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Experience:

A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in financial resource development, including donor development; annual and planned giving.Other Requirements:Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the organizationExceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building strong donor, volunteer and community relationships. Experience working with volunteer leadership and supporting peer solicitation efforts.Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products and Virtuous, Salesforce databases.Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing and one-time activities, events and projects.Strong interpersonal relationship skills including the ability to meet, greet and educate people with confidence and poise.Ability to logically solve problems with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and be detail oriented.Discretion handling and communicating sensitive information.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and handle stress.Willingness to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.A positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.Sensitivity to Jewish culture and traditions.Ability to travel and work in off-site settings on a regular basis. Ability to work evenings, weekends, or irregular hours as necessary to interact with donors and prospects and attend relevant meetings and events.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:The salary range is $90k - $95k for this position plus a comprehensive benefits package. Anticipated salary near midpoint; commensurate with experience. Benefits include a 3% 403b match, hybrid work schedule, 70% contribution towards individual health plan, 10-week paid family leave, JCC membership, among others.ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATIONPosition Type: This is a full time, exempt level position.
