Join our team and help us continue to exceed customer expectations.Position Overview:The Flat Glass Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the precise installation of residential and commercial flat glass, including windows, mirrors, shower doors, storefronts, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to business growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a supportive and dynamic setting.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the installation of glass, mirrors, doors, and window hardware for both new and replacement projects.Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain a well-stocked service vehicle.Support sales efforts by recommending additional products and services to customers.Learn and apply field measuring techniques, and accurately cut glass and mirrors to specified dimensions.Maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure they are serviced, clean, and in good working condition.Complete required documentation, such as invoices, route sheets, and weekly reports.Participate in Service with Advanced Training (SWAT) initiatives.Take on other responsibilities as needed, including cross-training in related roles.Qualifications:Prior experience in the glass industry is a plus but not required.Experience in construction, handyman services, or similar fields is acceptable in place of glass-specific experience.Ability to measure accurately and use tools like tape measures and levels.Comfortable working with ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment for glass installation.No fear of heights when using ladders or lifts.Proficient in using tablet-based technology.Strong communication skills and a customer-service-focused attitude.Ability to safely transport service vehicles between job sites.Benefits:Competitive pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.Full-time schedule (35-40 hours per week) Monday to Friday.401(k) and paid time off.Bonus opportunities available.We are actively interviewing for this role.
