Co-foundersSummary of Position:The BCaBA will provide Applied Behavior Analysis services under the supervision of a BCBA which will include: assess, program, and treat.The BCaBA will conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop Behavior Intervention Plans, as appropriate.The BCaBA will develop and carry out parent training.The BCaBA will supervise RBTs on his/her team.The BCaBA will be involved in groups (topic, potty training partners, and/or mommy and me) as deemed appropriate.Role:The BCaBA position is considered a leadership role within The Full Spectrum Child. The ideal candidate will develop client treatment plans and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians to implement such plans. Registered Behavior Technicians will rely on their BCBA for assistance in overcoming challenges and answering questions about their day-to-day client interactions. Solid communication skills and openness to feedback are necessary. The BCBA should be organized and self-sufficient to successfully perform in this role.Responsibilities:Assess children using ABLLS, VB-MAPP, Vineland, and additional Functional Behavior Assessments as needed.Maintain a caseload of clients: Write comprehensive Individual Behavior Plans for each child assessed.Develop and implement skills acquisition and social skills programs.Develop and implement positive behavior plans and strategies.Create recommendations for comprehensive services.Provide consultation and training for parents, teachers, and community members.Collaborate with other treatment team members and members of the child’s education environment regarding clients' progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions as appropriate.Ensure that client record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensure that patients’ progress notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational procedures.Participate in education and training programs for patients, families, or community groups as necessary.Position Requirements:Must be currently certified as a BCaBA in good standing with the Behavior Analytic Certification Board.Maintain CEU requirement and BCaBA credential with the Behavior Analytic Certification Board (BACB).Must be currently licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation.Must maintain and keep current personal liability insurance.Must currently be CPR certified (within 90 days if not currently certified).Obtain and maintain a good standing certification commensurate with treatment provided.Training and clinical experience in providing applied behavior analysis to children and families.Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders preferred.Analytical skills necessary to synthesize a variety of clinical and social data to determine appropriate diagnosis, treatment plan, and monitor the effectiveness of treatment programs.
