The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo invites applications for two faculty positions in the

Department of Structural Biology

at the level of

Assistant and Associate Professor . Successful applicants will lead productive, independent research programs that utilize structural, biochemical and computational approaches to solve fundamental problems in biology and medicine. A significant interest will be on recruiting faculty that add experimental and computational expertise in methodologies, including computational structural biology and cryo-electron microscopy, that both enhance and complement existing strengths within the department and whose research programs cross departmental boundaries.

All individuals hired will be expected to establish and/or maintain an on-site extramurally-funded and productive research program, be committed to teach and train a diverse student body and assume various administrative responsibilities within the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Individuals applying at the entry level of Assistant Professor must have:

Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M, D.D.S, or equivalent degree

At least two years of post-doctoral research experience.

Applicants at higher levels will also be expected to have extramural funding. All individuals hired will be expected to establish and/or maintain an on-site extramurally funded and productive research program, to contribute to undergraduate, graduate, and professional teaching, and to assume various administrative responsibilities of the department.
