The Division of Radiation Oncology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor, tenure (Open Rank). Cancer subsite of specialization is negotiable. Duties include clinical service, teaching medical students and Radiation Oncology residents, participation in clinical trials, and basic science research. This includes on-call coverage and service rotation at the University of Louisville Health hospitals and clinics in Louisville, KY. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology and eligible to be licensed in Kentucky. Candidates must have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, and be compassionate towards all patients. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Louisville offers a wide range of advanced treatment techniques in radiation therapy, including CyberKnife radiosurgery, three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy, high-dose-rate brachytherapy, external beam radiation therapy, image-guided radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy, radioisotope therapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy, total body irradiation, and total skin irradiation. Individual faculty members maintain areas of specialty interest and strive for discoveries in these areas.Research is an integral part of the department's mission. Faculty focus on providing exceptional patient care while striving to improve care through research for our future patients. Clinical trials are conducted to discover new therapeutic interventions to help prevent and treat cancer in patients. We are a full-member site for NRG Oncology.
