We invite you to bring your Science/Engineering and Project Management background into play as you manage existing and evolving investigation and remediation projects primarily in the Northeast (NJ, NY and PA) region.To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Science or other relevant discipline and have approximately 15 to 25 years of relevant experience.You will join our Environment and Health departmentAs our new Senior Project Manager, you will be part of Ramboll’s ambitious, diverse, creative, and collaborative Site Solutions team. You will have opportunities to collaborate with design and construction professionals in all the Ramboll business units and organizations in the Americas and globally, including Environment & Health, Water, and Energy.A Ramboll Senior Project Manager has the ability to apply advanced/well-developed skills and knowledge of a specialized job area, typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. They are fully proficient in applying established standards in the discipline and work independently, managing projects/processes and contributing to department-level results.Your key tasks and responsibilities for this role will be:Successfully managing the execution of investigation, remediation and design projects, including remedial investigations, remedy selection, remedial designs, remedial actions, and post-remediation monitoring programs.Effectively leading the development and finalization of technical documents, including work plans/scoping documents, remedial investigation reports, feasibility studies, remedial action reports, and post-remediation monitoring reports.Leading business development and project management activities including scope and budget development, proposal writing, budget/milestone tracking, client presentation, and regulatory interaction.Assisting in identifying and pursuing business development opportunities within service lines, spearheads, sectors, key accounts and/or growth initiatives.Actively engaging in client development, cross market, cross service line/spearhead and/or cross geography collaboration.Adhering to the policies and standards set forth in the firm’s quality management system, including Ramboll drafting standards and specific client or industry standards.Regularly interacting with existing and prospective clients, and establishing collaborative project teams of Engineers, Geologists, Scientists and Subject Matter Experts.Directly communicating with internal stakeholders (e.g., project officer, subject matter expert, project owner) and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, subcontractors, contractors).Providing technical quality reviews of work products developed by others and coordinating the work of other engineering disciplines into the final design deliverables.Coaching and mentoring project team members to develop their professional and project management skills, in collaboration with Division/People Managers.Developing project scope, schedule and budget, and assembling and managing project team/resources that are proficient in the technical aspects of the project.Acting as a leader in implementing and promoting health and safety requirements and guidance.Coordinating safe performance of work and appropriate safety training of the team, and creating an environment to enhance safety culture.For this role, your starting point is:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Science or other related field and 15 to 25 years of relevant experience.Working knowledge of state and federal regulations and technical guidance (e.g., NJDEP TRSR, NYSDEC DER-10, PA Act 2, RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA).Professional certification preferred.40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and up to date 8-hour refresher.Solid project management skills, with strong technical and client relationship building capabilities.Experience with conventional and innovative investigation/remediation technologies, sediment remediation, emerging contaminants, hazardous materials, and sustainability.Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.Excellent skills, with a strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, and ability to work effectively in teams.Ability to work effectively in teams and at times be a primary team coordinator with a focus on both project priorities and staff growth.Effectively utilizing established quality control processes and regularly communicating project status to the owner.Participating in relevant professional affiliations.Welcome to our Environment & Health divisionRamboll develops innovative, scientifically sound solutions that help increase liveability by reducing pollution and restoring natural environments.
