We are seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist to join our team. The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic images. The potential candidate must possess high energy, compassion, flexibility, and great attention to detail. This is a full-time position based at the outpatient Orthopedic Building in Chicago, IL, near the Illinois Medical District.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned:Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.Maintain working knowledge in the use of PACS, DR, and CR Radiologic equipment.Use C-Arm where appropriate.Prepare medications for and assist the physician with fluoroscopic procedures.Maintain Radiology rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of the specified area of the body requested by the physician.Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.Move imaging equipment into specified positions, determine exposure factors based on height, weight, portion of the body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.Assist physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations. Measure and prepare medication and contrast media.Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.Prepare images for reading by the requesting physician.Notify the Radiology Manager regarding malfunctions and repairs as needed.Properly use EHR to enter CPT codes for billing purposes.Travel to other clinics as required.Other duties as assigned.Our employees make the difference in our patients’ lives, and we value their contributions.
