Assistant/Associate Professor of Chemistry

Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeach courses and lab sessions in general chemistry and organic chemistry.Serve as Chemical Hygiene Officer.Mentor and advise students.Coordinate chemistry labs, equipment, and training.Assess and evaluate students; submit annual assessment report.Develop relationships with community partners.Participate in departmental functions.QUALIFICATIONSAccording to Ohio Christian University employment policy, all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the OCU Community Lifestyle Statement.Desired QualificationsPh.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field at the time of appointment (August 2025).Commitment to undergraduate teaching at a liberal arts university.Experience in teaching and mentoring undergraduates.Ability to work as an effective team member in a developing program.Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.Focus on integration of faith and learning in a Christian University environment.
