The AstraZeneca Mt. Vernon site was established in 1972 and is the flagship site delivering innovative, life-changing oral solid medicines. At the site, we formulate and pack OSD tablets and capsules for over 60+ markets. The Mt Vernon site is complex, the largest AZ production site in the US with over 700+ employees. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive business insight through the manipulation and analysis of data using statistical, machine learning, and AI methodologies. You will engage directly with business users and analytics consumers, understanding business needs, developing appropriate analytics strategies, and ensuring value through the insights provided to the business.Accountabilities:As a Data Scientist, you will establish strong relationships with various teams to develop an in-depth understanding of business needs. You will be responsible for delivering digital projects, planning and prioritizing site digital use cases, translating unstructured, complex business problems into appropriate model and algorithm solutions, and developing a robust understanding of relevant AZ data sources.
