Instructional Web Designer
to work on a team that will design, develop, and produce media elements and interactions related to adult learning solutions. This position is located in
Chantilly, VA
and requires an
active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.Learning solutions may include but are not limited to: graphics, websites, web-tools, online courses, Web-Based Trainings (WBTs), and other artifacts to support online, blended, and face-to-face training. Development efforts will facilitate the Sponsor's mission to support training.Responsibilities include:Develop new courses and learning solutions in a variety of delivery modalities: making major revisions to existing courses; establishing standards for the design, development, and evaluation of courses; providing guidance material; and coaching new instructors in course delivery and instructional techniques.Handle a variety of activities related to curriculum design, development, and training delivery to include but not limited to: needs assessment, instructional-related research and analysis, course and lesson creation, design, development, delivery, assessing and soliciting feedback and programmatic evaluation.Research, design, develop, document, and implement media products and artifacts in support of training courses.Create training materials such as WBTs, online training courses, online training portals, websites, graphics and visuals for print and online consumption, and video projects.Maintain WBTs, online training courses, online training portals, websites, graphics and visuals for print and online consumption, and video projects.Provide support for WBTs, online training courses, online training portals, websites, graphics and visuals for print and online consumption, and video projects.Support in-class learning technologies such as audience response systems.Support general photography needs.QualificationsActive TS/SCI with polygraphBachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.Required skillsExperience working in a training environment.Experience using Joomla site design and site administration.Experience developing WBTs, online training courses, websites, or other e-learning solutions.Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, PDF as well as Dreamweaver, After Effects, or other similar software products.Experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and HTML.Experience with MS PowerPoint, MS OneNote, and MS Word.Experience solving complex application development problems.Experience providing advice and recommendations on product design.Ability to use Adobe Captivate.Experience designing, building, and maintaining websites.Know-how in creating print products such as posters, books, and presentation materials.Knowledge of content creation and management tools for web design, web development, programming, graphic design, animation, videography, photography and audio recording, editing and distribution.Ability to use JIRA or other IT ticket or work tracking system.Accessing and using images/graphics from ENVATO, Shutterstock, and other subscription platforms.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
