Perform various tasks and analyses of Bio/pharmaceutical ingredients and products; reviewing or preparing standards and samples for analysis and running a variety of equipment or instrumentation independently; working efficiently; ensuring that client receives quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulations; evaluate current systems and suggest process improvements when appropriate; initiate and assist completing investigations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateApplies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibilityDemonstrates and promotes the company visionDemonstrates strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaborationProactively plans and multitasks to maximize productivityMeets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaborationRegular attendance and punctualityPerforms laboratory operations with good dexterity, good laboratory technique, and high degree of accuracy and precisionPerform/Review preparations of reagents, samples, and standards according to proceduresPerform or review routine and non-routine analyses: instrumental analyses; including calibration and troubleshooting of instruments independentlyDocument testing, observations, deviations, and results clearly and completely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements – striving to minimize errorsUnderstand and perform calculations as required by test methodsUnderstand and utilize computers for information access, calculations, and report preparation/reviewRead and understand analytical procedures (compendial and client supplied) and internal SOP’sDemonstrate technical writing skillsProcess/review data, generate/review reports, and evaluate dataCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writingIndependently seek out workPerform laboratory maintenance as requiredCommitment to occasional overtime as workload requiresSupport LEAN initiativesConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerCommunicates effectively with client staff membersEnsures good housekeeping with a neat, clean, and orderly workspacePerforms other duties as assignedQualifications

The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, or ability required.Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and method/protocol documents that detail testing steps and requirementsBe able to maintain independent time keeping and track hours against project work performedComplete simple assignments in the laboratory following appropriate trainingDemonstrate documentation practices appropriate for a regulatory environment with regards to content and accuracyBachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration and some previous laboratory experienceAdditional Information
