We're seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager

to lead and transform our organization's EHS programs. This role is ideal for someone who sees opportunities in challenges, is motivated by impact, and can inspire teams to prioritize safety and environmental stewardship as core values. You'll be a key player in driving our commitment to compliance, operational excellence, and a culture of proactive safety and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Culture Building:

Develop and drive a safety-first culture across the organization, influencing all levels of staff from executives to front line employees.Champion environmental sustainability initiatives, finding innovative ways to reduce waste, energy consumption, and environmental impact.Be a proactive change agent, influencing team members to take ownership of their EHS responsibilities and think critically about improvements.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations, acting as the subject matter expert on all things related to safety, health, and environmental protection.Identify and assess potential risks, implementing solutions that not only meet regulatory standards but exceed industry best practices.Lead incident investigations and near-miss reporting, focusing on root-cause analysis and long-term preventive actions.

Program Development & Continuous Improvement:

Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs and policies, with a focus on operational efficiency and sustainability.Drive cross-functional collaboration to create solutions that integrate safety, health, and environmental considerations into business strategies.Innovate with cost-effective, scalable solutions that create measurable improvements in plant safety and environmental impact.

Training & Engagement:

Develop and deliver EHS training programs that not only meet regulatory requirements but also engage and inspire employees.Establish mentorship and coaching initiatives to help build a safety and sustainability mindset at all levels of the organization.

Metrics & Reporting:

Track, analyze, and report on key safety and environmental performance indicators, providing strategic insights to leadership.Utilize data to drive decision-making and prioritize high-impact initiatives.Communicate successes and lessons learned to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proven experience driving cultural change and influencing teams.Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.Deep understanding of EHS regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence people at all levels of the organization.Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex information into actionable insights.Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
