Part TimeJob Description:Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. We also believe in providing an ongoing investment in our faculty and staff to deepen their skills and competencies to serve the full range of our student population.Reynolds is currently seeking applicants for adjunct instructors to teach Medical Laboratory Technology courses to include classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction.To assist with the credentialing process, please indicate on your application or resume whether each position held is/was a full-time or part-time position.Minimum Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree with a major in Clinical Laboratory Science earned from a nationally accredited college or university and national certification (ASCP or equivalent) are required. A minimum of two (2) years of full-time employment in a clinical laboratory or its equivalent within the past five (5) years. The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree earned from a nationally accredited college or university. A minimum of two (2) years recent teaching experience in a clinical laboratory science program; and a demonstrated ability to teach effectively in both the didactic and clinical settings, including course development, student assessment, and course evaluations are also preferred. Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities; and in curriculum development, use of multi-media teaching strategies, and test construction. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with diverse student and faculty population.
