Description:

The Senior Database Architect will play a crucial role in Medicaid Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) design, development, and operational activities. Collaborating closely with the Data Governance and Analytics team, this position involves being a key technical resource for various Enterprise Data Warehouse projects. The focus includes building critical data marts, data ingestion to Big Data platforms for analytics, and facilitating data exchange with State and Medicaid partners. This role is a pivotal member of Medicaid ITS and OST, closely aligned with the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics team.

Responsibilities:Participate in team activities, design discussions, stand-up meetings, and planning reviews.Conduct data analysis, profiling, cleansing, and quality analysis in various layers using Database queries in Big Data platforms.Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.Lead client meetings with data-driven analysis to clarify requirements and design decisions.Create logical and physical data models, ensuring compliance with organizational design standards.Review and understand existing business logic used in Hadoop ETL platforms.Assist in creating and executing test plans, scenarios, and scripts, validating results, and addressing production issues.Establish priorities, present project plans and status, and perform other assigned duties.REQUIRED Skill Sets:

8+ years of data analysis/architecture experience in Waterfall and Agile Methodology, preferably in Healthcare.Strong SQL experience (Oracle, Hive, and Impala) for DDL and DML creation.Experience with Cloudera Bigdata Technologies, Erwin Data Model tool, Unix commands, and scripting.Ability to migrate data from relational databases (preferably Oracle) to Hadoop.Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills.Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.Experience:

Experience in analysis, design, development, support, and enhancements in a data warehouse environment with Cloudera Bigdata Technologies is required.8 years of experience in data analysis, profiling, modeling, cleansing, and quality analysis in various layers using Database queries in Oracle and Big Data platforms is required.8 years of experience in working with Erwin Data Model tool, hive/impala queries, Unix commands, scripting, and shell scripting is required.
