Saint Luke's Bishop Spencer Place as a fantastic opportunity for a Wound Care RN to work in our 57-bed skilled nursing center. This is a full-time day position working five 8-hour shifts. The Shift:This is a full time day shift position.Mon-Friday 8 hrs a day, 0730-1600 or 0800-1630.No weekend rotation, some holidays required.The Work:Our Wound Care RN works under the direction of the nurse management team and is responsible for assessing wounds and skin alterations, developing care plans, implementing orders and treatments, and evaluating progress the of applied interventions. Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Evaluating new and continuing residents for wounds and skin alterationsNotifying physician and Nurse Supervisor of wound changesImplementing orders and providing treatments to heal woundsIdentifying wound types and providing education to other nursing staffDocumenting wound status and treatment interventionsConsulting with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident's care, treatment, and rehabilitationProviding other direct nursing care as necessaryParticipating in QAPI activities including participation in annual survey preparation and survey process, and maintenance of CMS standards.Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Missouri.
