Job Summary

The primary objective is to manage the sales district and promote our specifiable and traditional piping products while meeting or exceeding our growth goals. The position requires the individual to manage a team of Regional Sales Managers, as well as Territory sales representatives. In addition, the District Manager will also network with our customers, including distributor partners, contractors, engineers and end-users with the goal of developing long-term, trusting business relationships.

Principal Responsibilities

Manage and motivate the Regional Sales Managers and Territory Sales Representatives by providing training and guidance on initiatives and customer/client interactions.Establishes performance standards and short- and long-term goals and supports the achievement of those goals through effective oversight.Strong collaboration with internal departments i.e. marketing, other sales groups, logistics, and operations to identify and mitigate issues, problems with swift resolution.Identify, analyze, and present opportunities for growth in new products, existing products and initiate product improvements.Monitor sales performance across the district, identify variances and coach Sales Personnel to achieve desired results.Understand market dynamics across the district and have a detailed knowledge of market pricing for all XXX products.Ensure Sales personnel implement relevant and effective territory planning practices that are consistent with the Aliaxis Business Model and our Sales Force Excellence objectives.Monitor the volume and quality of the team's face-to-face customer interactions and ensure the information is entered into CRM.Conducts performance evaluations and succession planning to ensure availability of key talent and optimum team efficiency, including promotion, demotion, and salary recommendations. Carry out the Individual Development Plan review & coaching with Sales PersonnelObtain favorable product specifications with local engineering firms.Develop and provide technical presentations and on-site training to engineers, contractors and distributor partners.Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.Qualifications & Experience

Undergraduate degree or a combination of education and experience, Graduate degree in business or management5-10 years of sales management experience in the fire suppression industry, preferably in the sales of thermoplastic piping systemsThe ability to communicate detailed plans and recommendations in a clear, organized and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.Highly effective technical, analytical, negotiating and communication skills.Strong passion for relationship management through robust customer centric focused strategies.Strong computer skills including MS Excel preferred.Strong organizational skills.Familiarity with CRM software.Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.Regular travel within the sales district is required.
