Certification Details BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Job Details Emergency Elmore Hospital A Critical Access facility in Southern Idaho is in need of an ER RN to work 13 week travel assignment. The nurse will be working 12 hour shifts. Job Requirements 2 years experience preferred. Like to have someone with well rounded experience. Schedule Information 12 hour shifts, 7-7 and 1 RN scheduled 12p-1230a. Travelers are scheduled where needed, try to do shifts in a row for night travelers. 7-1930, 1 nurse 12-1230a. Weekend Requirements: Yes a minimum of 4 per 6 week period. Holiday Requirements: Yes- if there is a need. Unit Specific Information Beds/Trauma Bays: 10 bed and 2 Trauma Bays Do you have a Fast Track: No Do you have a separate Triage area? If so, do you allow/require travelers to do Triage: We have a triage room. Travelers will triage. Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER: Intermixed. Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms: We have one 'safe room' sitters are available. Is Security in-house 24/7? Housed in the ER?: One security guard on site 24/7, will not have security if one calls out ill. On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day: 35 Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:04 Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Peds and adults. Chest pain, abdominal pain, SOB, lacerations, STEMI and Stroke- stabilize and ship out, trauma- most are walk in, military patients-if they can't be seen on base they come here. Common drips: procedural sedation, TNK, all common ER drips. ED Physician/Mid-Levels: 1 MD/ 1 APP. MD on 24/7, APP 12p-8p Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge RN 24/7, Charge does not take patients, House Sup on nights. Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters? Ratios? Duties: 1 CNA, sitters available to call in. Is RT in the ER 24/7: RT 24/7 covers entire hospital, They do ABGs, breathing treatments and help with EKGs. RT Equipment: RT will manage. Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER: RNs read strips and monitor. SpaceLabs monitors. X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport: We have x-ray and CT. Radiology will transport patients, unless critical. Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw: RN usually draws, phlebotomy can help if needed.
