Responsibilities

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction of the director or charge person, is responsible for monitoring procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies. The CVT ensures safe patient care and functions as a scrub assistant.

Qualifications

Education:Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.In lieu of the educational requirements, a minimum of five (5) years' experience and:

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (required within 12 months of hire) ORRegistered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire).

Licensure/Certification/Registration:FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) ORFL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred).Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields).Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
