Kafka Administrator

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Apache Kafka, including its architecture, configuration, and management. This role will involve setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting Kafka clusters to ensure high availability and performance.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters.Monitor Kafka cluster health and performance to ensure high availability and performance.Perform upgrades and patching of Kafka clusters.Manage Kafka users, topics, quotas, ACLs, and schemas.Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts for automation of deployment, monitoring, and operations tasks.Collaborate with development teams to optimize Kafka configurations and performance.Implement security standards and policies to safeguard Kafka clusters.Troubleshoot and resolve any Kafka-related issues in a timely manner.Proactively assess and implement new Kafka features and technologies.Document Kafka processes, procedures, configurations, and environment architecture.Mentor team members and provide Kafka training when necessary.Utilize Python scripting for advanced automation and integration with other systems or tools, if applicable.Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Kafka Administrator.Proficient in Linux shell scripting.Experience with Kafka brokers, Zookeepers, KSQL, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.Strong understanding of Kafka internals and tuning parameters.Knowledge of Python programming is highly advantageous.Experience with source control (Git) and continuous integration tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills:

Certification in Apache Kafka.Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with other messaging systems like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, etc
