Job Summary

The Network Analyst III is responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure usability and reliability.

Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating and Celebrating.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Interface with users to provide and manage network services. Provide high level of customer service to all end users to ensure connectivity and productivity utilizing technology.Interact with and provide support to Academic representatives to facilitate optimum Academic computing areas.Work with all outside support vendors, which are involved with any network systems at all sites. Interface with outside entities on any joint use facilities to provide support for both LSSC and the outside entity concerning network connectivity.Experience with networking, creating secure connections with cloud services.Create, implement, and manage procedures related to network use standards including a disaster/recovery plan.Ability to create and maintain documentation. Maintain current inventory and determine obsolete gear.Maintain network cabling, UPS', switches, routers, wireless and voice systems. Maintain outside connectivity as needed: Internet, other educational agencies.Ensure all network hardware systems are up to date and backed up properly. Able to implement recommendations for best practices and changes to improve existing infrastructure.Experience with troubleshooting with Wireless Lan Controller and Cisco ISE technologies.Design and hands on experience with VMWare and Hyper-V technologies.Ability to analyze complex situations and resolve problems.Availability to flex hours to be able to implement after-hours maintenance and installations.Extensive experience with Inter-Network Operating Systems such as Cisco Systems and Juniper.Advanced knowledge of network setup and security. The Network Analyst III must adhere to strict security protocols to protect the college's network systems from cyber threats and implement any security measures with monitoring for activity for potential security breaches.Ability to keep up with advancements and make recommendations in IT network technologies.Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Excellent working knowledge of Windows operating systems, PC hardware and software, routing, switching, communication lines, network management, website support and management, distance learning systems, smart classroom technology, and documentation development. Apple endpoints with domain integration are also desired.Working knowledge and hands-on experience in a work setting for Cisco IOS and Junos OS operating systems.Ability to follow up on tasks and procedures/processes.Ability to work a flexible schedule including emergency situations and after-hours support/implementations and planning.Minimum Qualifications & Education

EDUCATION:

Required : Associate of Science degree in computer network administration.Preferred : Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems.Five to seven years of experience as a network analyst, or similar position.Additional professional certification desired i.e.: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, Juniper Networks Certified Associate - Junos (JNCIA-Junos), Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist certification and other certifications like CompTIA, ITIL. Consideration may be given for 10 plus recent years of experience in lieu of a degree by the President.EXPERIENCE:Work experience with client server database systems, hands-on experience with network routing and switching, troubleshooting and resolving network issues, PC hardware and operating system software, cloud service integrations such as Azure, Microsoft network operating systems, 3rd party network connected equipment/services and network management.
