At Hillcrest Hospitals Family Maternity Center, caregivers know all about the joys and anxieties of pregnancy, birth and parenting. Helping nearly 4,000 expectant families bring their babies into the world each year, the caregivers of Hillcrest Hospital are beside their patients, working to make their experience as healthy, pleasant and memorable as possible. The Family Maternity Center provides a comfortable environment that features private rooms, low lighting, infant warmers, television and all of the necessary monitoring equipment.Additionally, itoffers specially equipped operating rooms for Caesarean birthsanddelivery services, including anesthesia, that are available 24/7.

A caregiver in this position works7:00PM – 7:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide direct nursing care.

Implement and monitor patient care plans.

Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

External applicants must have two years recent related nursing experience. Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience but post orientation/90 day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).

At least two years of OB/Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
