Job Details

Project Manager Job Summary:

This position is accountable for the planning, organizing, scheduling, budgeting and execution

of 4 to 5 assigned renovation projects on a timely basis. It is also responsible for the financial

management of each assigned project. This position will require heavy travel at times; on

average it will require between 25-35% travel over a year’s span.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out specific projects to meet customers’ needs and quality expectations
  • Managing a full life cycle of a renovation construction project, including responsibility for

financial management of each project

  • Establishing project expectations, procedures, and standards, including QA/QC, safety,

code compliance, and managing conformance to these expectations

  • Promoting continuous quality improvement
  • Identifying, establishing, and managing the project goals, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Planning, organizing, and managing the work of project staff. Encouraging and fostering

teamwork between all internal staff, customers, vendors, and contractors

  • Providing opportunities for and actively supporting staff training and development
  • Documenting and reporting on project activities and progress
  • Supporting customers’ needs through engineering, procurement, and construction, as

constrained by the scope of services

Qualifications and Required Experience/ Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 (seven) years in the construction industry, preferably

in commercial renovation

  • Experience building business and developing customer relationships through superb project

management.

  • Experience with construction management and tracking software (e.g. Timberline, MS

Project, Excel, etc.)

  • Experience in construction, materials, jargon, costing, and scheduling
